the brief

BYM acquired The Spires Shopping Centre, originally constructed by the Lovell Group, from AIMCO in Q2 2021. It is named for the prominent pair of steeples attached to its façade, originally part of the High Barnet Methodist Church. The 114,052 sq ft scheme is divided into 37 retail units including a Waitrose supermarket. There is also a 81,170 sq ft (7,541 sq m) multi-storey car park. The scheme is connected via an open mall, partly covered by feature glazed roofs and punctuated by two courtyard areas. Units are located on the ground floor with the exception of Anytime Fitness, which is located on the first floor.

management approach

Considering the significant income potential of the property, the asset will be managed by maintaining the existing operational structure and tenants.
