BYM acquired Overbridge Square as a development of five office buildings in Newbury. The scheme perfectly lent itself to conversion under permitted development rights into a development of apartments. The site also offered an opportunity to provide parking spaces for nearby offices.
the brief
The vision for the Overbridge Square was to convert two floors of the existing office buildings to residential apartments while seeking planning permission for a third storey of penthouses to be added to some of the buildings.
design philosophy
The scheme was carefully designed to provide a secure and stylish living environment. Every building has a lift that provides access to all levels and an entry way with private post boxes.
